Semiclassical perturbation approach to quantum reflection.

چکیده
We consider the problem of quantum ‘‘reflection above the barrier,’’ introducing a distorted-wave Born approximation based on the primitive semiclassical Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin wave function. The idea generalizes to the concept of an unperturbed Hamiltonian defined as the exact Hamiltonian plus small parts which ‘‘turn off’’ nonclassical processes such as barrier reflection and barrier tunneling. @S1050-2947~96!06012-X#

Classical and Quantum Perturbation Theory for two Non–Resonant Oscillators with Quartic Interaction
We study the classical and quantum perturbation theory for two non–resonant oscillators coupled by a nonlinear quartic interaction. In particular we analyze the question of quantum corrections to the torus quantization of the classical perturbation theory (semiclassical mechanics). We obtain up to the second order of perturbation theory an explicit analytical formula for the quantum energy leve...
متن کاملDuality and Self-Duality (Energy Reflection Symmetry) of Quasi-Exactly Solvable Periodic Potentials
A class of spectral problems with a hidden Lie-algebraic structure is considered. We define a duality transformation which maps the spectrum of one quasi-exactly solvable (QES) periodic potential to that of another QES periodic potential. The self-dual point of this transformation corresponds to the energy-reflection symmetry found previously for certain QES systems. The duality transformation ...
متن کاملQuantum Corrections to the Semiclassical Quantization of the SU(3) Shell Model
We apply the canonical perturbation theory to the semi–quantal hamiltonian of the SU(3) shell model. Then, we use the Einstein–Brillowin–Keller quantization rule to obtain an analytical semi–quantal formula for the energy levels, which is the usual semi–classical one plus quantum corrections. Finally, a test on the numerical accuracy of the semiclassical approximation and of its quantum correct...
متن کاملA strongly perturbed quantum system is a semiclassical system
Recently we proposed a strongly coupled quantum field theory [1]. This approach is based on the duality principle in perturbation theory as exposed in [2] and applied in quantum mechanics. In this latter paper we showed that the dual perturbation series to the Dyson series, that applies to weak perturbations, is obtained through the adiabatic expansion when reinterpreted as done in [3]. This ex...
متن کاملSemiclassical treatment of the logarithmic perturbation theory
The explicit semiclassical treatment of logarithmic perturbation theory for the nonrelativistic bound states problem is developed. Based upon ¯ h-expansions and suitable quantization conditions a new procedure for deriving perturbation expansions for the one-dimensional anharmonic oscillator is offered. Avoiding disadvantages of the standard approach, new handy recursion formulae with the same ...
